Dan ‘Chizi’ Aceda is a multi-talented musician from Kenya who began his career in 2001 as a solo act at the Nairobi Chapel youth service. Four years later he unveiled his first album ‘Suluwe,’ which was produced by David Muthami and published by Kijiji Records with his subsequent album, ‘Benganology’ released in 2010. It featured production work by Robert ‘Rkay’ Kamanzi, Chris Adwar, Aaron Rimbui, Tim Rimbui and David Muthami. The album caused local Kenyan media to label Dan "the crown prince of Benga" in reference to the style of music style called Benga that is indigenous to East Africa and specifically Kenya. Aceda who holds two degrees from the University of Nairobi, is also an actor and an entrepreneur.
