Deux Vultures
Deux Vultures is a music group in Kenya who perform Hip Hop and Pop music. Originally consisting of 20 members the group dwindled down two members, Colonel Mustapha (Daudi Mustapha) and Nasty Thomas (Thomas Konzaga) both who grew up in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania and later relocated to Nairobi, Kenya in 1995 in pursuit of education. Like many other Kenyan artists, they began their career at jam sessions of the Florida 2000 nightclub a popular discotheque in Nairobi. The duo recorded their first single "Mona Lisa" with local production / record label Ogopa DJ's in early 2000 which become a runaway hit. They won the best group from Tanzania & Uganda category at the 2004 Kisima Music Awards. At present the group has disbanded with Colonel Mustapha pursuing a moderately successful career and Nasty Thomas having left the county.
