Jeff Koinange is a Kenyan journalist and talk show Host for his hit series Jeff Koinange Live. He previously served as the Africa correspondent for CNN and CNN International and later as chief reporter at K24. Before joining KTN, he served as the Chief Anchor in Africa for Arise Television based in Johannesburg. Jeff Koinange grew up in Kiambaa, Kiambu County and went to Hospital Hill Primary School, Parklands in 1972. In 1975, he changed schools to St. Mary’s, where he did his A-Levels in 1984. He was then recruited as a flight attendant for Pan AM World Airways in 1986.
Two year later he left for the U.S. to attend the Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York where he studied Broadcast Technology and Management. He graduated with honours and got a scholarship to study at the prestigious New York University where he acquired a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism. It was from here that his illustrious and decorated career. Jeff Koinange has received countless awards for his work as a journalist and in the process become the first African journalist to win an Emmy Award. He has recently written a book and diverged into radio.
