Linda was born in a village called Tigoni in Limuru-Kenya. She is second in a family of five. Her father was a music composer of traditional folk tunes, a music teacher and choir instructor. In 2001, Linda and her sisters formed an acapella singing group called Dawn with Linda as the leader. Dawn performed in churches, weddings and family functions. She joined music school to study piano and voice and in 2003 she received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, USA. However, her parents could not afford to cover the remaining cost and she missed out on that opportunity. Nevertheless she didn’t give up and continued with her study of classical singing at the Conservatoire of Music in Kenya. It was at this time that she met manager and producer, Walter Mongare of Altimate Records. This would eventually lead to the formation of the popular Altimate Band with Linda as the lead singer and band leader. In 2007 she released a two track album titled “Ne Muciare” with her second album, titled “Imajination” released in July 2009.
